Pastor Corey R. Anderson was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. He is the son of the late Sis. Elizabeth Frazier. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at the age of 13 when he was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church of Charleston, S.C. He attended North Charleston High School. After graduating from High School, he joined the United States Army and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer Three, after twenty years of service. He is married to Sis. Maria Anderson and have 4 daughters: Yasmine, Courtney, Jadin and Kori Anderson. After, a long career in the U.S. Army away from home, he decided to come back to Charleston and start a new life away from the military. He possesses an Associate Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s of Arts Degree in Ministry. Rev. Corey R. Anderson was installed as Pastor in March of 2023 and has continued to lead the flock with a vision for moving Joshua Baptist Church to the next level in the Lord.
His passion is teaching the word of God, youth, Christian Education and sharing with others what God has done for him. One of his most favorite scriptures is:
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
